Evidence framework

How ideas become testable claims, reproducible experiments and validated systems.

Confidence is earned at every level.

A public claim follows the maturity of its evidence. Aircraft and engine artwork on this site remains a concept at E0.

Research records retain methods, data, corrections and review decisions. Requesters cannot approve their own requests. Models propose work; authorized humans approve consequential decisions.

  1. E0

    Claim only

An idea or concept, without supporting analysis or measurement.

  2. E1

    Theoretical support

A theoretical basis with defined assumptions and bounds.

  3. E2

    Simulation

A model run with retained inputs, methods and uncertainty.

  4. E3

    Single experiment

A calibrated measurement with methods and source data.

  5. E4

    Repeated internally

Repeated results within the originating research team.

  6. E5

    Independent replication

Reproduction by an independent team with inspectable methods.

  7. E6

    Vehicle or system validation

Integrated performance demonstrated at system level.

  8. E7

    Operational validation

Performance validated within a defined operational envelope.

Electroaerodynamic fixed-wing flight.

Repeated flights reported by the original teamCited result · E4Cited result. Evidence level E4: Repeated internally. A 5 m-class fixed-wing aircraft completed ten powered electroaerodynamic flights. Register: EXP-EAD-001.

Xu and colleagues reported ten powered flights of a five-metre fixed-wing aircraft in 2018. This is an external research baseline. It establishes neither passenger VTOL performance nor independent replication by VIMANA-X.
